Wiring 2 amps from 1 system remote?

Alright, so I hooked up an amp for my door speakers tonight, and I just put a cable from the other system remote slot in my infinity amp to my mtx amp and both amps were still playing music but there was a constant clipping every 1 second. Could this be because the amps are grounded to the same spot on the car? I checked the voltage and its reading right under 12v so now im just lost.

Was that "just under 12V" while running or not?
