Wireless Hotspot HELP!!!

Ok here's the shimmy.

I have an Alltel Motoroala Milestone X (maybe a month old) and I have upgraded service so that I can broadcast a wireless hotspot for my laptop and PS3. Well here recently I have been getting BAD LAG and look like a break dancer playing MW3. I have full signal strength on my phone and 3G but it seems like for the PS3 it ***** where as my laptop connection speed is fine.

I would like to either be able to amplify the signal sent from my phone or somehow use my laptop as an amplifier (if that makes sense???).

Please help me here so I don't become ILL and break another controller into uselessness (my fault, FML).

so you are using your 3g connection on your phone to play on the ps3?

thats what i was thinking... if you're trying to use 3g for your ps3, NOT going to work.... you need 4g for that... and even then, at&t's 4g still isnt REAL 4g... need to get some LTE.

YEP 3G. I'm in a small country area and that's not what I wanted to hear.... LTE??? info?

LTE is what verizon built their 4g network on... most others use wymax, or HSPA+ in the case of AT&T... which dont have nearly the range or speed of LTE.... other carriers are switching over, but if you're in a rural area, its going to be a WHILE until you get it

Well I was thinking of adding a line to her verizon and cancelling mine but I read that the hotpost from Verizon caps at 2 gig. I'm not saavy enough to know what that means to me if I were to play 2-3 hours a day (that's absolute max usage)

verizon has kind of went gay with their plans since they released their 4g phones... if your using it for hotspot for ps3, your going to need a higher plan then that... i would do 6 gigs, just incase.
