You can do it, but it is not going to be an optimum set up here. My best recomendation would be to take it back and exchange it for another 4 ohm sub. If this is not an option.....wire them in a parellel set up and you should be fine running mono, tho u may notice a difference in the sound between one and the other.

By wiring the dual 2 and dual 4 you will wind up with an odd impedance, but thats ok. Also you will not get as much power from the amp to those subs as running 2 dual 2 or dual 4's because of higher impedance. One sub may also get more power than the other. If they also have differences in the sub, you may notice cancellation because they are diff. subs. Just a tip, by and hook up exact same subs. Don't get different subs or different impedances. Take it back and excchange it.

thanks took back speaker and got another 4om , and now i m, running 1/2om .and it will kill your ears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks

ya 1/2om. bad ya! iv,e gotsonycdx-m600-xplod head. and power is audiobahn a-1200-1dq, 1200watts rms. mono amp. and a sony 800watts for the mane four speakers are 4 kickers 120s and s12l5 solo-baric-2-4oms . and i called kicker and thay told me how to wire them to 1/2 om. and it will kill your ears!!!!!!!!!!! at 1/2 volume. its in a min-van! ho ya solo-barics are i a kicker double vented box , street bass box.
