Wire size

i cant remember who but a guy on this forum had 1900 rms and his 4 gauge wire was plenty he said. but outspoken is right go 0 gauge after around 1200 rms. My system is around 1200 and i use 0 gauge split into two 4 gauges.

Okay, another question, my dad said he's got some copper wire I can use is that fine to use for speakers, ground, and battery? I'll be putting a fuse on the one for the batt.

if it's single strand copper wire, like electritions use, negative... also use the same gage grounds as your power runs... i.e. if you have 1/0 to a amp, use 1/0 ground... and if it was me get some 1/0 and run that...

this is the site everyone recommends... i use welding wire meself...
