Wire size?

I have have 2 12" 1000 watt subs. what guage wire should i run from the amp to the actual subs. Is 14 good?

it seems like your talking about max watts, so RMS your probably talking 200ish, right? if thats the case i don't see why there would be a problem with 14gauge. but you might as well get 12 or even 10 if you plan on upgrading.

the subs really have nothing to do with it - the determining factor is power being delivered by the amp. However, 12 ga is the typical standard for sub wire.
