Wire Size and Fuse Question

Could some one explain to me y the shca 2/0 has 2 fuse in the block. Does 2 250's equal a 500 or something. I got 35' feet of 4/0 welding cable on the low the other day. I'm a machinist by trade and made some fuse blocks, but only made it with one amp fuse per holder. If some day I would need 500 anl fuse couldn't I use a single 500 up front and a single 500 at the rear batt???

you are absolutely correct, I knew I was doing something wrong, good thing I havnt connected everything yet. but yes, 1 run to the rear battery and from there, 1 fuse on each pos input to the amp. length of the run to the amps will be 2-3ft so I should be good with just 1 fuse on each run to the amp
You got it! So 1 fuse up near the engine battery, one fuse near the back battery and then 1 fuse on each run from the back battery to the amp. So 4 fuses total //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
