Wire Question

Right now I have a run of 17' semi-ok 4 gauge wire that looks to be mostly aluminum. I ordered some knukonceptz 4 gauge for my big 3, so my question is would I be better of with the knu wire for my batt to amp run and then use what i got now for the big 3 or just use the knu for my big 3 and keep the existing 4 gauge?

eh if you have enough of the knu wire, id use that for the longer run (the longer the run, the more the resistance of the wire becomes a factor) and use the "cheaper" wire for the big 3, since that is short runs, and its adding on to existing wires

If in fact it is aluminum wire, you really need to get rid of it. Aluminum wiring was used in residential electrical many years ago until it was discovered to be the cause of many fires. The reason aluminum is bad is because it oxidizes (corrodes) and eventually will become loose in the connections. The loose connections then start to arc and eventually enough heat will build to start a fire.
