Wire question

Do I have to use speaker wire...I mean will it make a difference in sound. No shops locally carry bigger speaker wire, However I can buy Power Wire in 10 and 12 gauge, I thought I would grab some black and red....

Go to your local home depot and buy some 18 ga lampcord. It won't make a difference in sound unless you're a beagle.

I dont want or need 18g..I already have 14...

Id like to go down to 10 or 12..but i was unsure if the power wire would cause problems. Im not worried about minute differences...More about wether or not there will be sound problems noticeable to anyone...

I bought my speaker wire from walmart, in the car audio section. They had 8-10-12 ga, not bad stuff for the price. I think power wire doesnt have enough, or fine enough strands.

You can use power wire but unless you are running multiple thousands of watts there is no reason nor will you hear any difference in going that large.

run a couple strands of your 14ga if you want to see if it makes a difference.
