i need a power wire. i'm gonna get 4 or 8 gauge which will power my jbl 600.1 but i'm just wondering if the kind of wire matters? if i buy the cheap stuff will it make a difference in the sound of the subs or how hard they hit? tell me the best stuff for the lowest price

If it were me i would run 4 guage wire. Whether or not you could tell the difference as far as sound wise and your subs hitting harder i dont really know but with that amp i would deffinetly go with 4 guage, 8 guage at the least. But thats my opinion. Price wise you would have to look around for the lowest prices, they vary greatly with the manufacturer of the wiring kit, just do some looking around first then choose what you think is best.

wire is wire so long as it is oxygen free copper w/ a good strand count.....and i'd go w/ the 4ga. just for future upgrades......but the only thing extra you really get w/ some of the higher priced wires is a brand name and maybe a diff. color....good luck

It mostly comes down to weight. You can have a super lightweight cone, soft suspension and aluminum coil on a sub and you pretty much get a pro...
