My life be like....
I am getting ready to do a pretty big install: 2 ia 20.1s, 2 mts, 4 turbostart 16 volt batteries, H.O. Alt and a four channel hifonics amp. Before i buy all the wire i want to make sure i have everything i need so i figured i would just ask before i bought it all. Let me know what you think and if there is anything else i need.

Quantity

1 Complete 4 Gauge Amplifier Installation Kit

2 In-Line Waterproof ANL Fuse Holder w/ Fuse (300A)

5 Gold Plated 1/0 Ring Terminal - Black

5 Gold Plated 1/0 Ring Terminal -Blue

20(feet) Kolossus Kable 1/0 Black/Silver Power Wire

40(feet) Kolossus Kable 1/0 Blue Power Wire

2 Karma Kable 2 Channel RCA Kable 6M

1 Karma Kable 2 Channel RCA Kable 1M

25(Feet) Karma 8AWG Speaker Kable

Thanks for the help....

only you will really know how much of what you would need, but more is better just in case....its looks to me like you might need more speaker wire for components if your doing them too, prolly 12ga just to be safe

how much are you spending on all this, and where are you getting it from?

and wire distance is dependant upon where you mount every thing, i always order an extra 5 feet "just in case" because you never know when something might have to be done differently unless you have it all installed already, and just need to run the wire.

16 awg is fine for components, 12 awg is a little overkill for just components.

ALready have that wire...yeah 12 guage....o well.
well i'm not gonna tell ya to take it back...lol, just tryin to help a fellow installer save some money //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

14 gauge would be a little overkill ... 12 gauge is just nuts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
so then whats 8 awg considered?

cuz thats what i run to my 2 subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

The kolossus cable 1/0 is more like 2/0

You will have to trim it for every terminal since its to big

I'd recommend 8 gauge if you were running over 1200 watts @ 1 ohm or over 2400 watts @ 2 ohms ...
well i had it laying around, so i figured i'd use it instead of buying new wire, was my old power wire from a previous installation, and i had just enough for my current setup, plus the blue coating on it goes along with the blue led's on my amp.

The ia termnials seem pretty big:naughty:

16ga for components around 100-150watts are good(Doesnt the spec say upto 300watts?)

If i was going past that(Boston Pro 60, Z line?)

I'd go 14ga

If I wanted to spend hours trying to fit wire through a rubber boot, i'd go 12ga
