im a noobie... can some one tell me whats the advantage of having 0ga? i had the cheap 4ga from the swapmeet if that helps, looks like ill be using Knukoncepts for my new official build not something i threw together lol... now im stuck on what to get 0ga or 4ga..... i will be doing the big 3 and only going to run 2 sa12s on a rubicon 1600d...... will i need the 0ga for all that or will i be fine with Kolossus Fleks Kable 4ga??? thanks!

The 4g would work but for the costs imo it's more worth it to get the 1/0 CCA (which can handle 3000w+). The CCA (or as knu calls it, 'KCA') can handle almost double the amount of current from 4g and only costs about $0.50 more per foot. To bring it down to a size the rubicon can handle, you can use some 1/0 reducers, or a distro block to bring it down to 4g, or if you have a battery in the back just use that as a distro.

yeah at first i was going to get 0g CCA but i read people saying that OFC was better so i was going to get 4g OFC but i rather much have 0g

People praise OFC like there's no tomorrow but honestly it's not that much better. 1/0 CCA is rated for 250A, 1/0 OFC is rated for like 300A. It's cheaper and you get more power by doing 2 runs of CCA. For most people they don't need to run anything over 3k for their setup so CCA will work just fine.

THANKS alot man!!

ofc is better 100 % copper ,cca is copper clad which really is just aluminum wire, not as good but will still work.my advice would be that if you think that there may be a chance of going to a bigger amp down the road , just get the ofc

i dont think i would get a bigger amp

my suggestion would be to peruse the classifieds here and buy wire as it becomes available. I've been buying 2/0 OFC welding wire on the classifieds here for 2.50 a foot shipped!! That's a ridiculously low price and it's rated to 450 amps.

what you guys think about this, 0g CCA for the big 3 and OFC 4g from the battery to the amp?....... or do EVERYTHING 4g OFC? max watts im running will be no more then 1600rms if that helps.... i cant afford 0g OFC ):
