Here is a quick idea of which size wire to use at 16 feet.. If it is less add a bit more..etc.

10AWG - 200 watts

8 AWG- 500 watts

4 AWG-1000 watts

02 AWG-2000 Watts

01 AWG you can power a city block with this stuff dont worry about it.

Ok, so if I need a four guage does this sound like everying i need?

17 feet of 4-gauge translucent red power cable

3 feet of 4-gauge translucent black ground cable

AGU fuse holder and 50-amp fuse

17 feet of 18-gauge tinned silver turn-on lead

2 platinum-plated ring terminals

wire ties

protective grommet

This is from Rockford Fosgate, What are all the wires that i need to hook my system up, and why is there only 3 feet of ground wire. Thanks

Because you should always keep your ground as short as possible. Sounds like you have everything you need except for RCA's.

Drill a hole and use the proper protective split loom and hole grommets to keep the outer speaker jacket from knicks and cuts, give just enough...

It mostly comes down to weight. You can have a super lightweight cone, soft suspension and aluminum coil on a sub and you pretty much get a pro...
