wire conversion

got a quick question... i basically have to tap into an 18 gauge speaker wire.. when using a t-tap to tap into the 18 gauge speaker wire.. would it be okay to run a 16 gauge speaker wire from the 18 gauge or will that ruin quality of the speaker/sound?

in easier terms

would there be some kind of problem in converting an 18gauge wire to a 16 gauge wire through a t-tap?

No problems, but you're only going to get the power of the 18 through the 16.

Solder and e-tape it.

you can even cut, twist, tape and zip tie.......

Yeah, I'd rather have a direct wire-wire connection than those crappy clips. Especially for an audio signal...

start at one end, tape over connection, then back to start

ziptie

cut ziptie and tape will never fall off
