wire a 4ohm dvc sub to 4ohm bridged amp

Buy another sub and you can, not too sure if that amp is 2ohm stable(parellel/parellel single sub will give you 2ohms,2 subs like this will give you 1 ohms,series/parellel 2-subs will give you 4ohms,series/series 1 sub will give you 8ohms.)Prob any way you go,it will possibly cost you pretty much the same if you buy a decent amp, or another sub..Its up to you,if you want a pair of subs, or just run a single sub.I also have an amplifier that I should be retrieving back that will bang the living crap out of that sub for like $130, and is 500rmsx1 at 4ohms and at 12.9v Zed Made amp US Acoustics 2150.My buddy at work needs it but havent yet seen the bread..lol Pm me if you need ask anymore questions, I have several amps that I wont rake you on that may work just fine, and have real power that the RF cant touch.Your choice though.Sub or amp, or new sub for 4ohms load?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I have ran one side of a DVC sub, and had no issues with it,same as running SVC, you are only going to retrieve half of the RMS rating of the sub is all.IT works, I dont recommend it, yet it does work, and I have done it more than a couple times without messing up the sub??OP..You may even be able to trade for a DVC 2ohm sub, or a SVC sub as well??Options are on the table for your decision, but, yet, you cannot retrieve a 4ohm load with just that one 4ohm dvc sub:D

Would a rockford p3001 work then. Buddy has one I could pick up cheap I think
no they only produce 150rms at 4 ohms

so again do u have 2 subs or one because i asked if they are dual coil and u said yes it is not yes they are so do u have 2 dual coils subs or only 1 sub

u can wire one 4 ohm coil to each channel... but its not the best. if the amp has one gain, and all other settings for both channels your fine.. if theyre independent, then dont do it.

that fosgate would work as well. wire it down to 2 ohm.s

why does the owners manual say that bridged it it wants a 4ohm sub?

It does... bridged at 4 ohm. You can't wire a DUAL 4 ohm sub, to a 4 ohm load. 2, or 8. or if you have a pair of subs, you can do 1 ohm or 4 ohm. You need a new amp man... You should have a 1 ohm stable mono block for most flexibility. find something that does 400-600w at 2 ohms, that'd be ideal.

****. I already had the amp.I was lookin at that pic when I ordered the sub. Guess I seen the 4ohm and thought that's what I needed for a sub
