Again, pieced together to support a narrative. I read the link you attached. It's all partial quotes. Paints a picture, sure. However, it is missing a lot of context. Without context I don't accept the pictures painted.Seems you are incorrect in your assumption.

There is nothing to deny is there? Has anyone quoting him posted a complete quote so the readers know the whole story or does this just not happen anymore?Denial.
It’s not a river in Egypt.
Interestingly, Loy hasn’t denied any of it. It’s like there’s nothing he can deny.
Go figure.
He’s been at it for over 20 years. There is nothing to deny is there? Has anyone quoting him posted a complete quote so the readers know the whole story or does this just not happen anymore?
How would it be libel if they are nothing more than partial quotes? The readers form their own opinions do they not? He’s been at it for over 20 years.
If accusing him of doing it for this long was a lie, you don’t think he’d go after the news organizations for libel?
If it’s all a lie and he hasn’t done anything about it, he’s a complete moron.
So which do you think it is? He’s a complete moron for believing it, or a complete moron for doing nothing about the “false accusations”?

Pushing your view a bit there aren't you. Keep telling me I am denying it, maybe I will change my mind about something? Is that the game? Listen, what is your goal this time around? Do you want us all to convert to the far left or just denounce republicans?Denial.

You say "view" as if it's not a fact that he is what he is.Pushing your view a bit there aren't you. Keep telling me I am denying it, maybe I will change my mind about something? Is that the game? They would be committing libel by accusing him of doing all the things they have if the accusations were not true. How would it be libel if they are nothing more than partial quotes? The readers form their own opinions do they not?
Yes, view. You have a view, an opinion of who this guy is. From what, partial quotes and a wiki page. Ok, you do you.You say "view" as if it's not a fact that he is what he is.
It's like saying it's my "view" that gravity exists, when you think it's magic that keeps us from flying off the planet.
Mauch is a proud member of the League of the South. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/League_of_the_South#History
I'm not sure how recognizing and not denying realities makes you a "far left convert".
Are you suggesting the far left accepts realities and the far right denies them by rote?
So you are saying partial quotes are damaging to a person's reputation... interesting. How about if you substitute words or rearrange them in the quote? They would be committing libel by accusing him of doing all the things they have if the accusations were not true.
libel - a published false statement that is damaging to a person's reputation; a written defamation.
When partial quotes are used to portray the person as saying something they did not say, they sure can be damaging. Context. So you are saying partial quotes are damaging to a person's reputation... interesting. How about if you substitute words or rearrange them in the quote?
What is wrong with any of that? From the words "Mauch believes," begins someones opinions. Nothing more, nothing less. What is needed by you to support those opinions are facts. That being unedited and full quotes that say those exact things. When partial quotes are used to portray the person as saying something they did not say, they sure can be damaging. Context.
Substituting or rearranging the words someone says is not a quote. It's a paraphrase and it wouldn't be in quotation marks.
If this were untrue, it would be libelous:
"Mauch, a neo-Confederate, is a member of the League of the South and was a unit commander for the Sons of Confederate Veterans until 2009.
Mauch believes, among other things, that Abraham Lincoln should not be honored in Arkansas and that the Confederate flag is a symbol of Jesus Christ and biblical government. Mauch is a supporter of the Tea Party movement. Mauch is a prolific writer of letters to the editor to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. In these letters he compared Abraham Lincoln and Northern generals to Nazis, war criminals and communists and wrote that slavery couldn't have been that bad because "Jesus and Paul never condemned it".
