And you always run your mouth then claim some kind of victory. Here you are again with what if this and what if that."
Oh? What alternator do you know of that puts out more amperage than a car battery?
Let's go with a battery for a compact car. 650 Cold Cranking Amps.
What alternator can swing 650 Amps?
That doesn't speak to what powers a car electrical system.
Remove the alternator and turn the key to "on". What happens?
Remove the battery and turn the key to "on", What happens?
Like I said, you spoke what you believed to be a universal truth and tried to hit me with a "gotcha".
But you screwed up again and didn't bother to know the facts.
It happens. To you.
A battery holds a 12v charge. It does not make its own power. Without the alternator to supply it with power it will drain quickly. Because the system is a 12v system the battery is needed to start the electrical system... The alternator which supplies the power to the car including the battery which can now help power some electronics while the alternator is keeping it at 12v. The alternator powers the system, the battery starts the system. Why are you denying facts? Is it ego or my political affiliation?
