Florida is trying to protect children from castration (and mutilation) by restricting funds (taxpayer dollars) from funding such practices. Arkansas lost a case too. Why are Federal judges meddling in the State's right to restrict medical care? Dobbs v Jackson establishes that the State has the right to step in and save a *****; so why can't the State step in and save an actual child? Dobbs v Jackson clearly establishes that privacy and equal rights do not apply in these cases, per Justice Thomas' secondary opinion. I guess this will get straighten out when it gets to the USSC.

What happens when the state steps in and decides whether or not someone should receive cancer treatments or other life-saving therapies?

I just find it odd that the USSC has found the States can regulate abortion (to save a *****), but lower courts are finding that the States cannot regulate gender affirming medical treatments (to protect children who have exited the womb).

I'm for socialized healthcare, so I think the State can and should regulate healthcare which would include who should/shouldn't receive healthcare.
