Are you so triggered that you have to dodge around topics?
I wanted to appease your desire to have the topic remain political.
We aren't talking about anyone but Americans. Look at you go. Angle, angle, angle.
Americans can't be German? Americans can't be Irish? Americans can't be Atheists?
Interesting. Under this rule of yours, what else CAN'T Americans be?
WE all share a commonality. WE ARE AMERICANS. Well, maybe not you. You Nazi douche bag.
Except for the people here who are non-citizens, yes, all Americans in America are Americans.
Of all the burgers I have eaten, last night's was definitely one of them.
Really... so when you tell people what they think, how they feel, what they meant, you aren't speaking for them? Like I said, you are clueless.

That wasn't even close to clever. Keep trying Gramps, your dad jokes are lacking.
You tell people how you think with your posts. I simply repeat what you share with us.
I suppose if your posts are 100% lies, then I am repeating lies. It's certainly possible.

I love to learn new things.
Explain how a lower center of gravity makes a female ollie worse than a male.
Explain how a lower center of gravity will make someone worse at pretty much any sport requiring movement and stability.
Before you try to twist my words, I said men ollie higher, not better or worse.

I don't skateboard, but I am familiar with an ollie, and the way he explained it makes sense from a physical perspective: When someone ollies, they bring their legs up towards their torso. A person's center of gravity determines whether their legs move up or their torso moves down. If a person with a higher center of gravity ollies, their lower body rises more than their upper body drops (compared to a person with a lower center of gravity). That's how body composition comes into play. This also applies to high jump, long jump, and any other sport where ground clearance is the goal.

In what ways do skateboarders intentionally lower their center of gravity, as you claim?

Why were you so quick to say "Tim Pool is wrong"? Seemed very argumentative.

A higher ollie is a better ollie, especially if it’s used to go over things or lead into another move.
I boarded as a kid and never mastered or even achieved half of the stuff some other kids did.

I’m confused about “bringing the torso down” in a move that is intended to move the body vertically, such as a jump. You might not be describing it the way you intend?

Skateboarders very often lower their COG because it improves balance and control, like when they squat carving a turn or doing speed runs.
A lower COG in pretty much anything makes it more stable. From a human body, to a race car, to a speaker on a speaker stand, to the electric can opener in your kitchen, or the patio umbrella with the 75lb base on your deck.
But I don’t expect you to just believe me. Here’s a page that gives the scientific explanation: https://www.physio-pedia.com/home

As to why I call bullshit on his ollie/COG theory: I’m a self-admitted skeptic. If I hear something that sounds like BS from jump street, I tend to disbelieve right away, and then verify. I’m not a fan of voodoo, magic, pseudo-science, or other nonsense like it.
I learned about COG in gradeschool, and put it to good use building model rockets and airplanes, then later putting lowering springs on street and track cars, being involved in martial arts, reducing the sprung weight on such cars, loading trailers so the weight was low and over or toward of the axles, etc.
To have someone say a high COG makes one perform better in a sport rang the bullshit bell right away.

Apparently you've never done an ollie...because it has zero to do with getting lower for a sharp turm...I doubt you did anything on on skateboard with your explaination...

Ollie objective is to bring your legs higher, so the skateboard rises higher. Think of center of gravity as an anchor. If you quickly bring your legs to your torso, and your legs are heavier than your torso, your torso will move more than your legs will. If you quickly move your legs to your torso, and your torso is heavier than your legs, your legs will move more than your torso will.

Here's a good way to think about it: imagine two people on a frictionless surface with a rope between them. If one person pulls on the rope, which person will move more?

Explaining it won't help...Rob is too busy being "right" to learn anything 🤣

It's not a desire. This IS a political thread. You asked me a question, I gave you the answer. Nothing more, nothing less.
You added political spin to referencing verifiable fact. And you have done it before.
Sorry, (7+2+6+9)/4=6 regardless of whether you are Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, or anything else.
We aren't talking about peoples ethnic backgrounds. We are talking about American citizens. Why are you trying to spin something here?
If you insist “we” are required to register guns despite the fact that it is only required in six states, then by your rules the term “we” can be applied to anything that doesn’t apply to every American.
“We” have alligators in our back yards.
“We” are Germans.
“We” like steak.
“We” had to shovel our deck on Friday.
Nobody is talking about non-citizens... Scratch that. YOU are the one bringing up ethnicity and and non-citizens. Why?
Non-US-citizens aren’t Americans. You claimed “we” are Americans. It can be presumed you are taking about people on US soil, and not every person on the planet. But not every person on US soil is an American citizen.
Maybe you were talking “we” as in the people on this forum?
I don’t even know if all the people here are Americans.
I tell people how to think.... with my post? How am I doing this? Explain how me posting my opinions for example is directing someone how to think.
You tell people how YOU think.
When there are only two options that are opposites and you complain about both, you are telling us how you think. It is inconsistent thinking.
When you insist on using homosexual reference as ad-hominem, you tell us how you think about homosexuality.
When you call Federal Regulation made-up bullshit, it tells us you think you know the law better than the people who wrote it.

The things people say tell a lot about their thought processes.
I don’t have to know the guy to know that Jimi is an educated man, and really has a strong command of the language, with an ability to draft fiction quite well. Reading his posts, I can certainly speak those things about him.

Not by any rules. You are the one that likes to keep doing this. I tell you exactly what I mean, you tell me I am wrong as if you have any bearing over how I think. Angle, Angle, Angle... Spin, Spin, Spin.

You don't have to assume, presume, or guess you moron. I told you EXACTLY who I am talking about. Open your fucking ears jackasss.

Multiple times in the past, you have assigned political affiliation to the referencing of factual information. It's a stupid thing to do.
That's my point.
A guy as smart as yourself should have understood.

Didn't realize I was talking to Frank Rizzo.

Never claimed to be. I'm no physics expert, but I can tell you what a BTU is. I'm no chemistry expert but I can tell you what happens when the pH is too high or low in my pool. I'm no construction expert but I can tell you what happens if you build on a sand foundation.
Funny how that works.
