I tried uploading just the video since it's on a biased website but it was too big...about halfway down is a video of fauci talking about gain of function...the video is just him talking to a group...it's his own words, himself speaking in 2012

He wrote a paper on it too. Does make you wonder. However, if "they" want to conduct secret experiments, I think they'd do a better job at keeping it secret than what we've seen. Hell how much money just disappears unaccounted for....

Like I said originally I was just pointing out nih money went to gain of function research....i can't 100% prove one way or another how involved he was...he does have a track record suggesting he supports this line of research but at the same time there isn't any tangible proof he did it...so I just sit on the fence 😂

IMHO, Fauci isn't nearly high enough up the ladder to ochestrate some sort of sneaky back door illegal research without getting his head chopped off when he got caught. Then again maybe his pop culture status makes the powers that be hesitant to punish him.

IMHO, we probably are doing covert gain of function research right here in the US. If we're willing to build enough nukes to wipe out the world 5 times over, why we shy away from gain of function research?

Ok... sounds emotional RobGMN. What the whole story? What are people trying to stuff this bill with that has nothing to do with Veterans? Gotta be something right? Cause otherwise who wouldn't want healthcare for Vets?
Here’s the whole story:
“This bill updates policies and procedures related to Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health care and benefits for veterans who have been exposed to toxic substances.

Specifically, the bill extends the eligibility period for VA hospital care, medical services, and nursing home care for combat veterans who served after September 11, 2001, and were exposed to toxic substances, radiation, or other conditions, including those who did not enroll to receive VA care during the eligibility period.”

Anyone who voted “nay” is an insufferable piece of ****. That’s not emotion. That’s fact.

100% emotion. "Feelings"

I just read over that link. Burn pits were overseas according to what is being described in and on several websites including the VA's literature on them.

This bill has "research" and "studies" for non-related things such as relating to 9/11. I also think the bill could be trimmed down. I think in 2 decades we probably have more than enough studies on 9/11. There is no need to waste more money on 9/11. The study of Cancer rates among vets. Really, they don't already do this? Come on. Veto. If this bill is for Burn Pit Vets then let it be that. My vote is NAY.

Yeah, it’s old news and we already fvcked them all over, so let’s keep doing it, right?
We managed to deny Agent Orange for HOW many decades while soldiers were sick and dying from it?
9/11 survivors? Fvck ‘em! They should have lived in Kentucky instead!

I’ll consider you a piece of **** too.

Of course you will. That's just who you are. I worked for a mail order pharmacy back in 09 and 10. All I handled were union workers and first responders from NY, NJ and PA. I spoke with these people including veterans and listened to their stories. Only some of them were unhappy with their government benefits. If you think they are being treated so unfairly, maybe you go help them out. Or do you "prefer" to virtue signal from afar?

RobGMN after a long hard night.

Actually have a very good friend who was deployed there for several years. Now has major lung issues, ongoing pain, meds up the wazoo. Many members of the same unit stationed at the same base (from all over the US) have similar issues.
But of course, it isn’t “deployment related”, just a big happy coincidence.
Just like Agent Orange.
Just like Camp Lejeune.
Just like mental health issues.

Yep, your experience as a call center operator shows us the veterans are getting great treatment after doing their job. The fact that people are having to vote on a bill whether to treat them and compensate them for service-related injury and illness is obviously just a scam.
Right.

Right.
Military personnel and veterans alike sign paperwork when they join. There are risk involved with every job. They have access to medical benefits before and after service. My dad and several uncles are veterans. They still get benefits. They are compensated with their paychecks for the jobs they did. Their jobs are high risk, they know this, they accepted the risk.

Nice try at a shitty backpedal. What was their exposure to Agent Orange? How much time at Camp Lejeune? How many burn pits were they exposed to?
They accept the risk of combat, not being poisoned by our own agencies, you dolt.

Who the fuuck is backpedaling? Do you think Military Service is a 9 - 5 office job???? There are risk, they know the risk, they accepted the risk. They were compensated for said risk via PAYCHECKS. They got medical benefits before and after service. My dad and one uncle are Vietnam Vets you dick. When you sign your name on the dotted line you ARE GOVERNMENT PROPERTY and theirs to do with as they please. They accepted the risk.

Just more online proof that you’re a fvcking moron who knows nothing outside of the little sheltered world you’ve lived in most of your life.

“They accepted the risks. They are government property.” Yeah, that’s why the lawsuits resulted in payouts for damages, and after decades Congress had to pass an act so exposed soldiers could get treatment.

And no, soldiers are not “government property”. That’s a childish belief held by ignorant people.

Do you work at being this ignorant?
