Vietnam is a bit tricky to name the President who was in office when the "war started".
Harry S. Truman actively supported the French in their Indochina War
Dwight Eisenhower (Republican) was President when the US agreed to supply up to 10,000 advisors to support the new South Vietnam state following the Paris Peace Talks in 1954.
John F Kennedy was President when the US expanded it's role in Vietnam to exceed the 10,000 advisory limit, started flying South Vietnamese troops to and from battle in helicopters, and started flying limited air strikes in South Vietnam.
Lyndon Johnson was President when the US involvement escalated to the point where we had a half a million troops in Vietnam and was conducting and ongoing air war against North Vietnam.

President Clinton was in office when the US was involved in a the NATO air campaign in Kosovo.

During President Obama's Administration, the US was actively involved in pre-existing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan but also engaged in a air campaign to oust Gadaffi in Libya and reengaged in Iraq and now Syria to fight ISIS.

Note that the only Democratic President since the start of the 20th century NOT on the above list is Jimmy Carter."

There’s not much difference between the Bush’s and clintons and Obama’s. The president no longer even partially runs the country, if you haven’t noticed. It’s all a show now. Do you think it matters if Clinton or bush or whoever next gets into office? The result will be the same. To sides of the same coin. Twin wings of the same bird. Democratic vs republican paradigm hasn’t been real at the top for a long time. You’ve got a choice between a selected person and another selected person, almost always. They aren’t selected for your interests in mind. When’s the last time we’ve really not been at war? Selling weapons is the #1 industry in America, lol. Of course we’re going to war with somebody, for reasons.

I should've said when we were the ones invading first. Nbd, war seems to be part of our economy these days. Unless, it's Saudi Arabia, they get a free pass.

All four presidents that where killed each wanted to use sound money gold or gold and silver and for the government to issue money or made significant changes to do just that.

Garfield advocated for only using hard money low debt. He lasted 100 days. McKinley also an advocate of gold to only be used as money. In other words no fiat made up out of thin air money.
Jfk signed executive order 11110 six months later he was assassinated. Shortly after that LBL stopped the executive order and borrowed money from central banks to fund the war. The fed and central banks have been in complete control of issuing money since LBL stopped the order. no president has attempted to take back control of issuing our own money since jfk. Coincidence? The dollar is the dominant global currency. We’ve fought for it and continue to fight for its control. Ask any country what happens if they don’t pay for oil in dollars. If we think we can take over a country if they use something besides the dollar to trade for oil that’s what’s going to happen. If not like Russia and China they will have sanctions against them.
