Weaponizing this weaponizing that. The FBI and DOJ are "weaponized" because they do their job. Now a narrative was weaponized because UCI did it's job and is creating an open category for "otherly" gendered zeeple.

"I guess what complicates all of this is the sense that it is fallout from something I did," Killips wrote. "Surely if it wasn’t me someone else would have become the scapegoat but the unfortunate matter is that I’m one of the figures that pushed the limits of inclusion for this particular moment and a cabal of right wingers who want nothing but the worst for the world were able to successfully weaponize it.

That "whatever" is trash...

“That said, according to Clarke, the most alarming aspect of AI's intrusion into politics is its potential to trick voters. The notorious "deepfakes," which manipulate audio and video content to make it indistinguishable from reality, are now within AI's grasp. This raises the specter of unscrupulous political actors using AI to mislead voters.”

“According to a spokesperson for OpenAI, maker of ChatGPT, there has been an uptick in the use of the chatbot for political purposes.”

“One group, the American Association of Political Consultants, called the use of deceptive generative AI in political ads a "threat to democracy."”

Who benefits? China:

“The weapons stockpile of the United States and its North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies are becoming “dangerous low” with no “short term” solutions, according to a top U.S. Air Force commander.”

“The United States has provided Ukraine over $41.3 billion in security assistance since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, according to the U.S. State Department as of July 7. This encompasses more than $15 billion in weapons and equipment taken from U.S. military stocks to Ukraine since the Russian invasion.”

Add this to the WTF files:

“Mo Gawdat, who was Chief Business Officer at Google X, the tech company's secretive research arm, believes it will be relatively easy to convince people *** robots are alive given the way things are headed.”

“He continued: "If we think a few years further and think of Neuralink and other ways of connecting directly to your nervous system, and why would you need another being in the first place?”

“"Let's just say this is a very significant redesign of society. It's a very significant redesign of love and relationships.”

Are you ready for your AI God?

"Experimental systems that run on GPT-4 or similar models are attracting billions of dollars of investment as Silicon Valley competes to capitalize on the advances in AI. The new assistants - often called "agents" or "copilots" - promise to perform more complex personal and work tasks when commanded to by a human, without needing close supervision.

"High level, we want this to become something like your personal AI friend," said developer Div Garg, whose company MultiOn is beta-testing an AI agent."

"Computer scientist Yoshua Bengio, known as a "godfather of AI" for his work on neural networks and deep learning, urges caution. He fears future advanced iterations of the technology could create and act on their own, unexpected, goals....."In years from now these systems could be smarter than us, but it doesn't mean they have the same moral compass.""

Trying to copy the intelligence of the human brain (movie Ex Machina is a great example):

"Foundation models are trained on vast amounts of data such as text from the internet using artificial neural networks that are inspired by the architecture of biological brains."

whatever happen to the missing children from Oprah’s school?

whatever happen to the missing children from Oprah’s school?

Why isn't Oprah being condemned for promoting that piece of garbage...

Started watching this series. Pretty interesting exercise in how to use facts to create a narrative that the facts don't really support. Shows the lack on critical thinking skills among the masses.
