Dude, I have said several times that his comprehension skills are lacking. He just likes to argue. I am still trying to figure out what went so wrong in his early years where he developed this need to argue everything. Usually this is seen in children who have no friends and have been alienated from others their age. I am guessing he had no friends, girls ignored or made fun of him and he just decided to isolate himself. He became his own best friend. Because of this he has learned no skills for interacting with others. He speaks literally about everything. Has bland humor at best. I believe he keeps us unfriendly with him for fear that if we were cool with him we would eventually ignore him too so he doesn't allow himself to be friendly with us. Kinda sad. But it is what it is. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a foster child or was adopted. More likely a foster child.

Yeah Denver crime... Unfortunately, I think Denver is going down a similar path to San Fran, Portland, etc. Hard to leave when you've built a life here, and you're an avid snowboarder, etc. But crime and homelessness is getting out of hand.
