Back in the day the country was full of different types of currency. Do none of you know our own history in this country? There was a reason for us to have a common currency and the biggest reason was the abundance of different currencies.

Hard to get a cooperative government when both sides only pander to the hardliners...it's effectively killed the "moderate" voice in the nation

I don't know what happened to the political center. The last presidential election had record turnout and neither candidate really pandered to the center. It's like the center has just evaporated into thin air.

But if the country is to break apart, then different currencies might make sense.

I never promoted or wanted crypto.
Not you specifically, but the same folks who push gov't conspiracies are the same ones that thought crypto was great - privacy, it's not a fiat currency, gov't can't print more money out of thin air, harder to track (at least at it's inception), etc, etc, etc.

The country isn't going to break apart it just needs to stop letting idiots vote for Biden because "Orange Man Bad" if you know what I mean.

Serious question; should the US split up?

Related question; if the US is to remain whole, then would you agree that the 2 party system has to be dismantled? Ie wouldn't we better off if we had a "woke party", the Dems, the GOP, the Trump party and the Qanon Party?

I'd say there is a lot more wrong than that liberals voting for Biden because they don't like Trump. And in ~1.5 years a shytload of people are going to vote Trump out of hatred for Biden.

Kentucky is trying to pass laws to basically exempt themselves from federal gun regulations. We have Texas trying to take political semi-autonym away from their cities. Eastern Oregon wants to secede. In Arizona any election won by a Dem will be disputed for the foreseeable future. The USSC could have found in favor of Dobbs in Dobbs v Jackson and declared Mississippi's Gestational Age Act to be consistent with Roe v Wade (which clearly it is). Instead the conservatives on the bench chose to overturn Roe v Wade entirely; talk about judical over-reach. Justice Thomas has declared gay sex, gay marriage & access to contraception should be "looked at;" more judicial over-reach.

On the other side of the fence, we have folks who no longer want laws enforced, especially if they disproportionately affect certain minorities. They want effeminate males competing in women's sports (my daughter thanks you). Many on the left want to expose children to "alternate gender concepts" as early and often as possible. The want full unfettered and unregulated access to abortion. Much/most of the left wants to socialize healthcare and higher education. They want to register firearms, require licensing, close background check loopholes and enact enforce red flag laws (unless it turns out red flag laws disproportionately affect browns and blacks).

How does voting for somebody other Biden or changing their motives for voting for Biden bridge the divide I just described?

I don't know.

I do know that contraceptives and gay people is an oxymoron. Two gay men aren't going to impregnate each other. Nor are two lesbians.

Honestly the parties aren't really a representation of the average voter...they're private organizations that people cling to like a rabid sports fan...imo anyways...
