Global crude oil output rose by less than 1% in 2021 after a 7.4% drop in 2020.

In a context of global economic recovery, with increasing COVID-19 vaccination rates and loosening pandemic-related restrictions, oil demand expanded more rapidly than supply. Consequently, international oil prices rose by almost 70% in 2021 (+69% for the Brent, at US$71/bbl).

Clicking on the above link will reveal that global output has not returned to pre-pandemic levels. I've brought that up a few times, but I guess it bares repeating. Keep in mind that website is not a propaganda network like CNN, but a website that specializes in energy data/news.
Biased just to make Trump look bad and Biden look good!

I answered your questions, you just ignored the answer. But better yet, why don't you answer the questions you posed:

1) So what did Trump do that kept gas prices down that Biden isn't doing? I ask because if Biden were doing it too the price would be lower.

Please inform us.

So you honestly don't believe demand has changed? Prices went up around the world because Biden isn't doing something that Trump did? And what would that be?

Are you on drugs??? WE DO NOT set our own "production and supply." We are part of a global supply system. If Venezula cuts production, prices go up and US oil producers (who are involved in for profit enterprise) will have no problem selling "our" oil to China if that's better for their bottom line. Do you not believe or comprehend that?

Scroll on down to where the question is:

Is the U.S. part of OPEC?

Is the U.S. part of OPEC?

That question was answered.
It was also explained (with analogy examples) that even though the US is not a member of OPEC, OPEC absolutely can have an effect on gas pricing in the US.

Do you think we only buy oil from non-OPEC suppliers?

OPEC affects world prices:https://www.investopedia.com/ask/an...PEC) and the, influence over global oil prices.

Cool story. Tell me why we have to buy from others when we have all the oil we need here in the U.S.

You whine like a little c*nt that no one answers your question, then you get an answer you don’t like because it proves you wrong, and you blow it off.
Such a douche.

But, I’ll humor you anyway:
We buy oil from others because (once again) oil production is not nationalized here (that means the government does not own oil drilling and extraction).
We buy from the WORLD market because, at times, the world market prices are lower. That’s how business operates.

This may shock you, but even Trump bought suits on the world market and resold them here, even though all of his suits COULD be produced here. If you need me to explain why he would do that, just ask.

Are you under the assumption that oil extraction is owned by our government and we can just tell refiners that they can only buy crude from US oil companies?

The government owns the land... you tell me.

The government owns the land... you tell me.
Tell you WHAT? The oil business leases the land. They get a permit to drill. Then they don’t drill and make money with the oil because Biden tells them he wants us to pay high gas prices?

Is THAT your train of thought?

And you didn’t answer the compound question I asked previously:
e you under the assumption that oil extraction is owned by our government and we can just tell refiners that they can only buy crude from US oil companies?

Awe, you triggered? Don't be upset. You don't answer questions, neither will I.
Triggered is the guy who can’t handle his flaws being pointed out without lashing out like a child with namecalling and insults.

Serious question: How old are you? You argue like an early teen or pre-teen.
Have you not noticed that even the other guys here who don’t like me have stopped gladhanding you when you post?
I’ll guarantee they are thinking “shit, he has no clue at all. If I take his side, I’ll be considered clueless too.”

People only back a losing horse for so long.
Then it becomes glue.

Either Thxone is totally clueless about a host of topics, or he is willing to look like an absolute moron simply so he can say he is a Republican.

Or there’s a conspiracy theory we could toss out there: He’s actually a Democrat pretending to be a near-illiterate Republican in order to make Republicans look bad.
Jan 6th on an insignificant level.
