Even if it is YOUR CHOICE to do work off the clock, it is ILLEGAL. Penalties? You can be fired your employer can be fined.
Being fired is not a punishment for breaking the law. My employer doesn't enforce the law.
What are the legal penalties I can face for working off the clock without getting paid?

You said it's illegal for ME to do it. What punishment will the legal/justice system mete out if I am caught braking this "law"?
It's a simple question with a simple answer, if you really understand how the law works and what you are claiming about it.

Understand that you should read the following in a voice that would be of a person with Down Syndrome:

Your employer pays the legal penalty. You could get fired. Try to follow along genius. Is it the simplicity of the law that is getting you or what?

My employer neither enforces the law, nor can it can prescribe punishment to me for breaking the law.

So I'll ask once again. And, I can't make it much simpler for you:
What punishment does the legal/justice system mete out if I break the "law" that says I cannot work without being paid for it?

If there is a law that I must follow, then there is a punishment I must endure if I am caught and convicted by the courts of breaking said law.
What is the punishment the court can hand down?

if you are correct that the law says a person cannot work unless they are compensated, then the simple questions can be easily answered, especially by a brilliant mind such as yourself.
What it really sounds like is that you are the type who just goes to work, does the minimum possible, and goes home. No motivation to do more or better at your own expense.
Kind of like only working enough to pay for beer and smokes since other essentials are given to you for free?

Interesting take on it, given that the Republicans are always screaming about education being "indoctrination", and cutting funding for education (or refusing to approve funding increases).

"Mar 15, 2022 — The plan Republicans passed today cuts $1.1 billion from K-12 funding and slashes community colleges and state universities' funding..."

You literally quoted my post and are still asking. I clearly told you the punishments. I have to assume at this point that the balls that are covering your eyes while you are blowing that guy are preventing you from being able to read.

The level of dumbfuckery that comes out of you is astounding. I gave you statutes, I linked you to lawyers, I gave you punishments... you ignored it all and still ask for shit. Keep choking down the cock fella. That seems to be your calling.

You say you work in fraud. You are full of shit. I literally showed you statutes regarding working off the clock and you are actually arguing it because you have NO comprehension skills and apparently can't read. It says "a non exempt employee" that means you dickhead. Damn you are stupid.

See, you don't debate facts, you argue any facts presented to you even after you request them as if they are wrong no matter what. How about you go back to school troll and stop trying to get a free education on web forums.

But the non-exempt employee isn't going to subject to damages, fines or other punitive measures....

If you can’t answer the simple question of what punishment the legal/justice system would hand down if I got caught and convicted, then you can’t support your claim that it’s illegal for me to work without getting compensated.

“Choking down the cock” would be believing all of your bullshit claims that you make here, but cannot substantiate in any way.
You fail with a vengeance, that’s for sure.

You work in fraud but you want to ignore ethics when it comes to labor laws then you ignore what has been told to you three times now. Willfully being an ignorant asss. How are you going to sit there and say you work in a field that requires you to find fraud when you have no ethics and or you are willing to break the law? Look, we can clear this shit up tomorrow. Call your employer and tell them that you work off the clock, how often and how many times. Let's see if you continue to have a job.

You’re trying to redirect the discussion away from your claim that it is illegal for me to do unpaid work, and are now complaining of ethical issues.

Stick to your claim: What punishment will I face from the legal/justice system if I am caught breaking your imaginary law by working “off the clock”?

If I told my employer I was working without getting paid, they would simply tell me to stop. They would not have to pay me for any of that time and would not face any legal backlash since they wouldn’t have known I was doing it.
I would face no legal ramifications because there is NO law that prohibits ME from working without being paid for it. The law applies to the employer if they have knowledge of my actions.

You fvcked up. You’re wrong. Get over it.
