WinISD question

I know most of the measurements given by WinISD pertain to the level of output of the sub. But is there a way with WinISD to to tell how the sound quality will be? I understand SQ is subjective. The only parameter I can think of that WinISD gives that effects sound quality is port velocity.

Group delay is going to be a good indicator of how well the sub in the modeled enclosure will blend with the rest of the system when it comes to time correctness of the output. Subs you hear described as "muddy" typically have a high group delay at the freqs in question. The lower the frequency, the lower the threshold of audibility as well. In othr words, you might not be able to hear 25ms of group delay at 50Hz but at 30Hz that same delay might sound like crap.

I was gonna say the same thing... Group delay really kills drum kicks and what not... which is why sealed boxes are the weapon of choice among us who listen to more heavy rock and such... as for just retarded loud bass lines, anything goes.
