Windshield Tint...

i have 5% on my w/s as well

only i paid about 180 for the explorer, including the w/s...

double 5 on the sides too

all windows down

had 5% on the mini, but i took it off and went back to 15%

Yeah that's the only thing I am hesitant about is bad weather. I had no issues tonight driving around at midnight on unlit roads, I actually find it easier to see at night w/ the tinted windshield than it was w/ 5% all around and no windshield tint on my last car.

i can drive easier with dark tint as well

but yes, wait til it rains at night. you will have to pull over. i cant drive my explorer at night if its pouring. its not possible, and you will get in a wreck, and it ill be all your fault no matter if the wreck really wasent your fault. i had to pull over and just sit in my car for like 30 min one day while i got caught in a tornado warning at night...i remember it too....when the PS3 was coming out the next morning, i was out looking for stores to camp at to get one...and it started storming like a *****

Yeah I just got popped for mine, $75 ticket. Apparently IL passed a law Jan 01 you need special tags. So now I gotta figure out how to get those seeing a script did nothing... lol

Head to the DMV with your script and you should be able to get the stupid sticker. Then you can probably fight the ticket.

I just paid the ticket on the spot, I'll take it to the dmv tuesday to see what it is that I have to do.

they arent gonna let you pass with that dark of tint, script or not.

Florida cops just dont enforce the law much, sucks you got a ticket though lol.

i got 28% on mine with 5% all around and i can see fine day or night. Actually thought about going darker on the sides... maybe double 5%

I got away with it on my last car minus windshield w/ a script with out a problem.

Was only $75 so i wasn't really worried about it. If it wasn't a new kid that got a hard on over a tint ticket I don't think I would've been stopped to begin with.

by the script not working, i was referring to the windshield only. the sides arent a big deal, but I doubt they're gonna let you slide with a 5% windshield, if ANYTHING on the windshield.

LOL that wont work, i have a 5% brow over my 15% w/s on the MINI, and from the outside you cant even see that i have the strip. from the inside though people dont know the rest of the w/s is tinted becuase of the brow.

but from the outside, you can deff tell its tinted

i got pulled over once in my explorer, and the cop came right up and didnt even say anything about the tint. it was at night so it was HELLA dark in my car too. i know he saw it, just didnt care i guess.

Haha that's what I was just talking to a friend about, I think I'd fight it if I got a tint ticket at night.
