im running an old duron 1300+, 256mb ram, 80gb hd, 64 pny verto ti200 video...

That much hasnt been realsed. but im guessing about 600-700 dollars or something along those lines but there is like 7 different versions.

Vista will feature two categories: Home and Business.

In the Home category, Microsoft will create four product editions: Vista Starter Edition, Vista Home Basic Edition, Vista Home Premium Edition, and Vista Ultimate Edition (previously known as the "Uber" Edition).

The Business category will feature three editions: Vista Small Business Edition, Vista Professional Edition, and Vista Enterprise Edition.

Yeah.. I agree w/everyone else.. if you want to have a beta beta windows vista that hogs just as much memory and looks pretty... go DL windowblinds.

Post screens w/out the cosmetic enhancement??/ I'm interested to see what the base system looksl ike

Windowsblinds can do pretty much all of that. Just because the gui appears sleek, doesn't mean it's going to be that spectacular. As far as having access to it, everybody does. Anybody can download it.
