I dont know if I should go with Vista 32 bit or 64 bit. I already ordered 64 bit but I can exchange it if I want.

I am just a little worried about compatiblity issues. Does anyone have windows 64 bit and not have any issues?

I haven't run into any issues on Windows XP 64. Games all worked fine.

I'm guessing that Vista would be similar. You may find some older things won't work as well (drivers and such).

I could rant all day but

1. XP is fine, runs better, and is more efficient

2. Microsoft made vista just to gain more market share

3. Its full of useless crap, eats memory, and you need a hell of a machine to run it properly, THEN hope you can still run apps.

How about getting a fairly new PC and giving it a shot you obviously have no clue WTF you are talking about as I have been running it and had no issues with ANY programs working or memory usage.

My guess is you are just spewing BS you read on the internet.

While I will agree that XP runs fine, the other points you made are either completely false or are only true in certain situations ...

As for a "hell of a machine" to run it properly, any desktop with:

1) A decent dual core CPU ($70 or more)

2) 2 GB or more of RAM ($40 or more)

3) A modern graphics processor ($60 built into motherboard or more)

will run Vista fine ... You're talking like a $300 PC ...

Given that you consider a $300 PC a "hell of a machine," I'm going to have to say that you're a n00bx and should STFU and ESADIAF ...

I run Vista Ultimate x64 on my gaming PC and outside of a few 5+ year old games, I haven't run into any issues whatsoever ...
Personally, I'd get 64-bit because 32-bit is on its deathbed ...
