Windows down = better?

having a open window affects a number of things.. of which include; in cabin acoustics, and less pressure inside the vehicle, which encourages more throw from the woofers.

most vehicles show a 1.5-4 db gain from having a window / door open.. most hardcore SPL vehicles, using giant boxes, and port, show a loss, and will overthrow the cones..

when im competing i dont even bother touching my windows unless its reality spl and its my only option. otherwise i got 2 people on the trunk and me on the driver door and someone else on the passanger door. that yeilds me excelent results.

Hmm... well I know with my friends 13W7 (my old 13W7) in a ported box at 30 HZ, with the windows up in a Lexus SUV (the big *** one) it sure as hell is a lot louder, but in my car when i had it, it was louder with the two front driver windows down. Dont ask me why

every vehicle is going to be different. the exact same setup and same settings and absolutly everything the same, simply will not sound exactly the same.
