As to your question about knowing anyone who got pulled over for their tint, I was in my friends T-bird, and he got pulled over. the cop pulled his tint-o-meter (thats funny cause thats actually the name on the front of it) and it read 86, so thats 15% tint. The most we can have in MN is 50% so he got a nice ticket. The cop said he wouldnt have to pay if he came to the courthouse with the tint off though.

i got 35% on my fronts and 2.5% over 35% on the back. Its impossible to backup at night!!!!!!! and i have a stack of tickets for my front windows..... its gotta b 70% here

I currently have about 3% all around and I used to have about 30% on my windshield. It was dark as hell but I never got pulled over for it. I eventually took it off cuz I was over haveing to drive really slow witht the brights on in dark neighborhoods. Heres an old pic of it.

It looked pretty sick and you could not see in at all.

i saw this really cool method of doing that when they took the old tint off of my back window (bubbled as shit)

they sprayed it with something, might just have been soapy water, i dont know, and then they put a trash bag on it and let it sit right with the sun shining on that window and turned the heater on inside the car and after i little while they just pealed off the trash bag and the tint came with it

Take it to a shop...

If you want to more than likely mess up your back window...do it yourself. Otherwise take it to a shop.

avs actually hondas and acuras and even higher end cars come with that green film dont they. i'm pretty sure it's not made into the glass.

when determining what percentage to get, i think you should always take interior into account. example: my friend's a4 with black interior and medium in front (30ish%) and dark in back (15ish%) looks just as dark, if not darker than my maxima (grey interior) with 13% all around. my sister's altima with black interior and 30ish% tint all around looks just as dark as mine, same with my moms black leather and same tint. just my $0.02

the green 'tint' is just a color in the glass. Fords have it the worst.

only got a 10 dollar fix it ticket..

35% smoke colored film on 7 windows, nothing on the windshield

edit--thats with the sun shining straight on the windows in that pic, in slightly less sunlight it is more opaque.

Hmm I never heard of those tickets going above $10 where i live in Cali...
