i went to the local tint shop where i live. they have formula one tint and have been around a long time.

i drive an 02 accord which has micro dots at the top of the rear glass. the salesperson told me that they dont tint over the micro dots bc they have trouble making it stick. i dont think id like the look of tint 3/4 of the way up. anyone have any experience with this?(tinting over microdots) and for anyone in georgia, the legal limit is 32%. i was wondering if you have any troubles with the law about your tint if its past legal limit?

we have FormulaOne film, probably the best in the market imo. yes honda accords/civics can be tricky to tint over the dot matrix, our tinter can do it and make it look right, either sanding the dots to make the film lay better, or cutting the film up to the dot line, then painting the dot matrix black, id look for a more experenced tinter to do your car.

there are like 7 threads in this forum about it.
search mofugga
show me 7 threads where it talks about tinting over micro dots. i did search and i learned how to put on tint, how to remove tint, but i didnt see anything about tinting over microdots. not that it isnt there( might be) but i didnt see it, so show me "like 7 threads". in all honesty i think you are just one who loves to run their mouth "search"!!!!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

Don't start with me.
My bud has a integra with the microdots. its tinted over, but you can see exactly where the tint isn't stiiting on the glass.

now thats more along the lines of answering my original question isnt it?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif i asked if ppl had problems with the dot matrix.

after i entered dot matrix instead of microdots i did find one thread about it, and again i found azbass to be very helpful. This magoops stuff(azbass), does your tinter use this stuff? and still offer a warranty on tint jobs?

Go to a better tint shop. If they cant tint over the dot matrix, then that shop isnt worth your time and money.

I had two different tint jobs on my old rsx, the dealer tint bubbled and the other just looked sloppy. I have seen some cars with a black vinyl strip over the dots, it looked pretty decent.

I have an 2000 accord and i just got my windows tinted last week or so from a custom shop, i used onyx. theguy tinted the whole back windshield with no problems, then again he is a pro he gets dealer contracts all the time so i guess just find a decent place to go, decent place = $$ sometimes
