How do I remove the window cranks in my car? do I need a tool or just brute force, It's a 94 escort.

its just a clip, get a pic or the tool is cheap too.... or just pull hard they come off easy enough, but then again mine fall off all the time...lol....

flat blade behind it then pry it off.

I bought a tool from Orielly's for I believe $6 bucks and it makes it a lot easier to take off the window crank. Also it has the other end of the tool that works for popping the clips holding the door panels on. Best $6 bucks I have ever spent.

Make sure that there isn't a screw through the center of the crank before you go trying to yank it off.

I always just used a shop rag to pop the clip off my my Escort. Difficult to describe how to do it though.

Yea I have seen that technique used before also. Just slide it behind the crank and work it back and forth until it works the clip out. I was never able to get it to work on my truck so I bought the tool, other vehicles may be easier.

lol i had to do this on the same car, just get a flat head,,, there is a tiny ring behind the handle you gotta clip off..

i actually had alot of probs with this car.. first the speakers would hit the window... then i put in speaker rings and the window handles hit the speaker... i had them bent but eventually broke..

yea i forgot about the rag trick it does work on most, i just have had the tools for a while now so i kinda forgot that one.... just gotta figure out what side it pops off from.....
