will us amps 1600.1 push 1 15 RE sx

I bought an RE SE 15 sub and its in a 4 cube box tuned to 35 hz. Im sure its enought to power the se but will it be enought if i upgrade to an sx

what series are u talking about? But the SX's are the most efficient line that RE makes and US amps tends to underrate their amps so if it is rated at 1600 at 1 ohm you will more than likely get more than that so I say yes be careful I know someone pushing the SX 18's pretty sufficiently with only a MD1 on each.

well i got the 1600.1 but when it is bridged it goes straigth to protect mode. it is 2 channel amp and 4 ohm dvc SE 15. It seems like im going to get an sx because the box i have is designed for a sx.

from what i under stand is that when it is bridged it is trying to run 2 ohms so the amp is clipping. When i run it regularly it is doing about 8ohms. Is this true?

is the amp one ohm stable your probably running the amp down to one ohm when you bridge it what is the sub wired too ??

With a mono sub you can run the sub at 2 ohms. Right now when you bridge it, your only running it at 8 ohms so your losing all the power from the amp

Do you have the XT1600.2, i could not find a model number that is 1600.1. If it is a 1600.2 than you would be bridging it to a 4 ohm load which would be giving you 1100RMS at a bridged 4 ohm load and that would be a nice match with the SX because they are dual 2 ohm woofers, wire them series and see a 4 ohm load and 1100 watts. With the SE you should not be bridging the amp. It will do 400 x 2 at a 2 ohm load. That means it is putting out 400RMS to 2 channels wire each vc to a channel and get 400RMS on each vc. I think that is how it would be anyway maybe some more experienced people can chime in and correct me if I am wrong.

well with the sub i have now it is a se 15 4ohm DVC. The amp is 2 channel rated at 800 rms instead of 1100rmsat 4 om mono. I am mathicing up negative and positive from one coil to the other which should give me a 4ohm load and then bridging the amp.

When i bridge it, it goes into protect. If i just run it normal it doesnt hit very hard. I believe it is because it is making it 8 ohms right. My understanding is that bridging the amp to the dual coils makes it 2ohm and normal it is 8ohms.
