will this work????

Looks like your teacher should've sent you to ca.com....the ultimate in math teaching technology //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

k cool. so i need a bigger box then. how about this:

36 wide

13.5 high

12 deep

2.5" port

15" port length

2.015 before disp.

34.98 tuning

after all disp. that gives me 1.83cu^ft and mark recommended 1.8 so thats good. what about port noise? am i good if i just round the edges of the port? wont the tuning change after i add bracing because there will be less space? how do i compensate, i want 35hz tuning.

I chuckled //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

but instead of dividing by 12 three times,......isn't it just easier to divide by 1728...and yes I know its the same thing, but what if the finger slips on the calculator?

If you could manage to make the depth just a bit larger that would give you a little more airspace and also lengthen the port, tuning it a bit lower. But that box wouldn't be a bad option at all

I was actually about to say just devide by 1728...but instead I wanted the class to see what was happening, step-by-step //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

^nope

but yea...making it just a little bit deeper would compensate for the loss in airspace from bracing and also tune it a little lower, which should sound better and get louder in the lower frequencies

i really cant go any deeper. its goin in a mustang and i will not have much space to begin with... what do u mean by "louder"?

mark said to go with 1.8cu^ft tuned to 33hz after displacement so im just going to go with that i guess. is there a noticeable difference between 33hz and 35hz? what is the difference?
