Ok. I "got" my "bad" info from techs who would make peoples heads spin within a 1 minute conv. Now I may not know a whole lot, but over 12 years experience in the field, I do know some. Granted there a millions that know more, but its pretty decisive among those in this field for a long time who do know worlds more than me, you, or most for that matter, that companies like Lanzar, Pyramid, Legacy, are crap covered in different names.

About? What some crap not smelling as bad as other crap?

Here we go again!!

Ma its seems to me that if you have been in the industry for 12 years, you would know that Lanar was purchased by its current owner only 4 years ago. You would also know that they have spent that time trying to get Lanzars name back in good standing with consumers. It is a long process! Lanzar had at aone time been a contender! They are now getting back into the competitive arena, and are doing better than most expected. Lanzar has not had to cheat people with lies, and deceptive measures.

(1) Ma Audio for one has released an amp onto the market claiming only 50 watts! Sold these amps to people for over $800! They were tested by USACI to do 1000 watts @ 4ohms. Very big difference in power rating. True they produce major power, but those people that have been competing will now have to invest more money to get another high dollar amp, or move into another competition class and loose those points they have aquired.

(2) Companies like Lanzar have creative control over their product lines. They do not just buy some amp, or sub and label it. Case in point, the very sub you use in your avatar image ws offered to Audiopipe for sale in the US market! But, we declined! Audiopipe owns its tolling now and does its manufacturing, like Lanzar daring to be different.

(3) Lanzar broke the routine! They were the first to come out with a rack mount amp! Yes the first!!! Some would like to believe that Audiobahn did it but not true. They released the rack mount and got negitive feedback all over the place for it. People have said it would never take hold, they would never sale!! Well, that was some thousands of amps ago, and still going.

(4) Lanzar, Pyramid, Legacy, and Pyle are all owner by the same company in New Jersey. You seem to have a problem with the companies that alot of us got started with. If, it were not for the entry level equipment alot of people would not have got into the hobby. Try to remember that in the 70's Pyle started it all! If, they had not wanted to try you wouldn't have the opportunity to BIT@@ about it now. Go and do the reserch Pyle started it all! In the 80's everyone had to have a BOOMIN sysem like alot of people they went to Pyle and a Pyle Driver!!!!

Just my dollars worth! This thread really took a wrong turn didn't it!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

Hey Felix, thanks for the backing, you know a lil more facts than me and I def agree with you. Just because an amp sells for cheap and some not so worthy sites sell it does not make it a cheap amp. You made some good points.

Right on, people don't always look at the Business side of it all. If, companies like Audiopipe, and Lanzar spent as much as Kicker, Audiobahn and such their amps would cost as much too. The more they spend on advertizing the more the amps cost. Its just business!!

Higher prices don't make better quality, I mean in a lot of cases you will have that. But in some you don't. Look at JL, I mean they have great products but are unbelievably outpriced. But they do make some good shit.

Thats true, they also spend alot of cash on advertizing. This is where the extra cost comes in. I have seen what it cost to have a High end amp made. You would be surprized how much money is made over manufacturing cost. But, extra cost happen when you have great products. Huge ads, and a full Sponsorship program to support.

Thats true, thats why Profile and Lanzar are cheaper. You don't see their ad's everywhere like you do Kicker, JL etc. But if you advertise I guess ya gotta make your money back somewhere.

Ok but Im just saying as a whole, just because you slap $1000 on something and the others are $200, just because the one is more expensive dosn't make it better. Yes there are some really expensive equipment that is great quality, but the price tag dosn't make the product.

Here is a great sales point.

If, you have ever shopped at Wal-Mart and I am sure we all have!! You see a pair of shirt for like $20.00 then 2 months later the same shirt is only $3.00 on Clearance. Wal mart is still making a profit on that $3.00 shirt. But, they spend Millions in advertising each year to warrant the insane mark-up.

The same is with all retail business's and mnufacturers alike. High end equipment has more research involved and warrants its own hi prices to pay those engineers:confused: that are doing the design work up.

I never thought I would use any of the Business crap I learned in College, But here Iam anyway:D

OK class for tomorrows lesson we will cover, how *** really does sell!!! Especially, when you own the ***** House;)

Class dismissed!
