Will this wiring setup hurt?

Quick question. I had a dealer install my Audio system along time ago. They Used a Type R 12 4ohm. I took the sub ou tthe other day and I noticed how they wired it. They put both Neg and Pos terminals on the same side, leaving the other side with no wiring. Will this cause any issues? I am going to switch the wiring so it runs 2ohm....

i'd hook the other one up and run it at 2 ohms like you said
