bought this 15in XXX off a friend that reconed it and when i hooked it up the glue came off the spider and the sub came apart and the motor had been shifted and the coil got scratched up will it still work and last? it was still working when it had been scratched but i want to know is it worth it to get a new motor and put it back together?

anybody wanna buy it also?

of you have the motor for the sub just recone it and plug it into a wall socket. if you do not have a motor that cone/coil assembly is not worth it unless if the coils give the proper impedance reading, which i still would not use.

are you sure the motor is damaged with the magnets out of alignment or did the basket come loose allowing the top assembly to shift around?

if the motors magnets and plate assemblies are still aligned then there is no reason for a new motor. just a new drop in recone kit.

and what glue did he use? hot glue?

no the motor was shifted. he said that he fixed it by beating back in place. but motor is gone now. but the coil isnt dented or anything just scratched so that will make the impedance reading be different.
