Will this O-Scope work for tuning amps?

Looking to buy a o-scope and moving on from the DMM tuning method. looking for a cheap o-scope just something to better tune my amps than the DMM. Will this one work, for the basic needs of tuning amps?

Just make sure you REPLACE THE FIRMWARE!!! The stock firmware is so bad. Luckily this device is OPEN SOURCE! Even more lucky is that there is a firmware that resolves pretty much all the software issues. (It's called 'BenF').

i need to do that with mine, at least its usable without that firmware now. at least for me, some may not be as willing to deal with the layout

Okay thanks, is replacing the firmware necessary? and is it easy to do?

not really unless you're doing measurements over 200khz and you need lab grade accuracy. but thats an entirely different class of oscilloscope
