Will this new setup still be as loud as L7's?

I have a 12in L7, but insteed of getting another one for $200, I'm going to sell my L7, and buy two Type R's, And put them in a 5.5 cb ft tuned to like 34hz, will the outpt be very similar to a pair of L7's but just with some better sq? yeah...output would be about the same as a pair of L7's.

i dunno which are louder, its kind of a toss up.

in an everyday application i woudl prolly give it to the L7's, but the type r's are definately nothing to scoff at.

All in the install.....those Type Rs sure can wang though in the right setup....

I vote Rs just because of price....

depends on the box.

the r's could get lower than the l7, but you'd be giving up output

volume isn't everything.

I have heard numerous type-R and L7 setups, and the L7s setups are usually louder off around the same power.. Have noticed the type-rs do tend to have more SQ though...

yeah im gonna say l7s as well. my friend had L5s while i had my type Rs, so we did a side by side comparison.. same amp, same car, very similiar box/tuning and L5s were definately louder.

I was also wondering about getting two Type R 15's, I mean their a little bit cheaper then the 12inch L7's, but if I get them I could only put them in a box thats like 7 cubes net.

even in a BIIG box tuned @ 33hz, my 15's seem to have less DEEP excursion than older models //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif but whale out the actual beat of the song tightly, and LOOOUUUD

definitely not what i wanted from a 15, but it's completely opposite of the SQ-bashing most peope direct toward kickers.
