hi all,

i'm going to upgrade my factory speakers in my jeep and was wondering if this set up will work? i have already replaced the head unit with a pioneer unit, and have two shallow mount pioneer 10" subs under the back seat.

this is what i'm planning on getting...

--Pioneer 6-3/4" component speakers for dash.

60 watt nominal / 260 watt peak

--Pioneer 6-3/4" 2-way speakers for roll bar

60 watt nominal / 280 watt peak

--Pioneer 4 channel amp w/ 600watts max

60 watt x 4

will this work and give me a good sound? or do i need to use a bigger amp for the speakers? the next step would be a 1200watt amp with 75W x 4.

suggestions...comments? any help is greatly appreciated!

Sounds like a solid set up to me man. I've got the those pioneer components in my car now and they are decent for affordable components.

the 2 subs are pioneer 10 shallow mount - 250w Nominal / 1000w peak

and i'm running a pioneer premier amp bridged so that the subs are getting about 200w each.

it sounds pretty good but i'm getting drowned out in bass (not really a bad thing though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif). so i've decided so upgrade the factory speakers and see what happens.

thanks for the input guys!
