I have these subs.... sitting in my garage, hidden.. far far away because they were terrible. Reached thermal limits on 1k rms each.. and they were quiet compared to everything else I have on the same power.

For the price point of those subs ($108 shipped ea.) they are pretty descent, POWER depends on your amp and the enclosure, I've ran 1200 to one of those daily in the proper enclosure without issue. You DON'T want an enclosure that big or tuned that low for those subs though, they already tend to emphasize lower frequencies & roll off early so if you put them in a box tuned that low even at the correct airspace it will NOT yield the results you're looking for... 1.65 ^ft. per sub tuned to about 40hz and they will sound good, all you should need is a good CLEAN 900 RMS per sub

Okay, If that box is to low, there's this box that i have been recommended

Would that work better? I am trying to get the lowest hitting bass from these subs as possible.

I've looked into some single din, Foldout touchscreens, and honestly, there is no good name-brand ones that are cheap. :/ They are 3-400 for a namebrand one.

Dude just buy some Sundown E series subs. Same price... much better subs.

Find a decent, cheap 1000'ish watt amp... maybe something used?

Have a ported box built to spec for the Sundown subs.

You will likely be MUCH happier.

Yeah man cause those Pioneer subs on Pioneer amps in a prefab box will make MAD dbz!

I offered him a "cheap" solution that would most likely satisfy him, considering the equipment he's looking at now.

The only thing "wrong" about my suggestion is that he would be overpowering the Sundowns by a hair... but as long as he is sending a clean 500 watts to each of them and uses some common sense he would be fine.

Or do you believe Amazon... because they say those Pioneer subs are "3,500 watts peak (this is one of the loudest and best subs being sold on the entire internet)"

I'd pay money to see somebody hit one of those with 3500 real watts.
