I'm looking at the Pioneer AVH-X1500DVD head unit, and its claiming that it "Would not fit" my vehicle, But if i got a Double-Din Dash-kit, would it then fit?

Yeah man cause those Pioneer subs on Pioneer amps in a prefab box will make MAD dbz!
I offered him a "cheap" solution that would most likely satisfy him, considering the equipment he's looking at now.

The only thing "wrong" about my suggestion is that he would be overpowering the Sundowns by a hair... but as long as he is sending a clean 500 watts to each of them and uses some common sense he would be fine.

Or do you believe Amazon... because they say those Pioneer subs are "3,500 watts peak (this is one of the loudest and best subs being sold on the entire internet)"

I'd pay money to see somebody hit one of those with 3500 real watts.

There is nothing wrong with that pre-fab box he is looking at, I KNOW for a fact they will sound good in one of those enclosures... They're NOT rated at 3500 watts RMS so what the fvck difference does that make?! Of course they will blow up, the same thing will happen if you try and throw 3K at what you called "better" Type R's, or even 2k for that fact ! $108 per sub shipped IS A GOOD DEAL for those subs, I don't give a fvck what anyone says

I have these subs.... sitting in my garage, hidden.. far far away because they were terrible. Reached thermal limits on 1k rms each.. and they were quiet compared to everything else I have on the same power.

what vehicle? they said that double din wouldn't fit my truck but that's because there is some plastic piece in the dash you have to cut out. now my x5500 fits just fine.

Dude just buy some Sundown E series subs. Same price... much better subs.
Find a decent, cheap 1000'ish watt amp... maybe something used?

Have a ported box built to spec for the Sundown subs.

You will likely be MUCH happier.

I own these pioneers and I'll never run them. I have them on 1k, they are already getting hot on the cone. I have experience with many woofers and these are some of the worst I've ever used. I wouldn't say they are worse than those other woofers though.

lol not no time soon but i'd like to go to oregon... i haven't been there and i love budget subs as you can see from my signature... lol your ears get used to it, throw another one in, you blow one, toss it out no big deal, grab another out the closet and throw it in... lol
