@ a combined 2 ohms, you will only be getting 1500w. If they Have a D4 on those subs, go for it. You will never blow a sub by underpowering it though.

Why would he need another amp?

The subs are 900 rms X 2 = 1800

The fact that they are D2's only will alow him to push 1500w total between the two.

That amp will power two of those. They will only see 1500w @ 2 ohms though, since they are D2's.

Possibly a new batt? You WILL need an upgraded battery and at LEAST the big three upgrade. In your shoes, I would upgrade the big three, battery, and alt.
