I've got eSata ports on my case too (probably 3gb/s though) but I've never really found any use for them, everything is USB....

top is not eSATA it is just a regular sata dock. No cord or external mount required. Bare drive baby.

Nonetheless, i do have a eSATA external drive enclosure to use on the back eSATA port.

yup just a slot hidden under that door. Waiting for me to slip my hdd inside of her.

The only problem with that is what else are you going to plug that harddrive into? It's not like a sata dock is a common part of most computers and you can take that HDD to work and plug it in, you'll have to buy external docks for any other computers you want to use it with...

Not that i think it is really that great of a feature, people arent usually carrying around bare drives like a usb stick, but it'll work for as a back up using old drives.
