hey mi am abou to get a set of subs for my car and want to know if they will work

i am going to get 2 4ohm dual voice coil subs handling 250 watts a coil so 500 a sub. can i power them with a mono 1000 watt at 2 ohms amp? will this work pushing them at full power or no do i have to get a diffrent amp? and if it helps at all the subs are Rockford Fosgate RFD2212 and the amp is Rockford Fosgate Power 1000bd

ok, assuming youre saying rms. I'm thinking the RF amp is 2 ohm stable. You can wire the subs to 1, 4, or 8 ohms resistance.
