Will i need to upgrade my Alt?

Im in the process of upgrading my system a big jump from what i had before, but i have one last question that i have been pondering on.

I will be running a Hifonics brutus BXI2010D amp going to 2 kicker 15" dual 2 ohm L7's, a Hifonics ZXI 6010 going to my componant and co-ax's. I am adding a second battery, but my question is will i need to upgrade my stock alt? i have already done the big 3.

its around 80-90 amps...im not sure exactly though....

wone must be psychic. That should do alright. Though it'll be close. Only testing will tell for sure.

If you get Dual 4 ohm woofers you could wire them to 1 ohm. However, then you'd be drawing alot more current, producing 2000rms and at that point, and alt would be highly recommended, if not essential.

On the same note, why not get dual 4 ohm woofers anyway and wire a BXI 1210 to 1 ohm instead? You'd get roughly the same end result, and spend less on the amp. However, if you go with the BXI 2010 you have the option of running it at 1 ohm and 2000rms at a later point if/when you upgrade your electrical.

i have already got the amp i just bought it and just waiting for it to get here but wheres the difference in 2 ohm parrallel would that bring it closer to 1

You have 1 mono block amp and 2 DVC 2 ohm woofers coming right?

If so, you will have a final ohm load of either 2 or .5 and the Hifonics will probably not like being at .5

With two DVC woofers, you would need 2 DVC 4 ohm woofers to get to 1 ohm.

If you are running that BXI2010d @ 2 ohm, which seems the safest, you will be giving each woofer ~650rms if your electrical supports it.

If it's only 80-90 amps you're going to have some severe dimming and undervolt issues. I'd say you need to upgrade your alt or just turn your gain down quite a bit.
