I have a hifonics 1600 mono amp and I just got an older style 10" alpine type R for like nothing, Will I kill the sub with this much power?

But if at 1ohms it wont last long. that amp does about 1400w rms @ 1ohms

1000w rms is pushing it on those type r's

um yes unless u turn gain down but that amp is perfect for new type r

is it DVC? if so run it like this

If it is a dual 2ohm sub, I would probably run it at 4ohms to be safe...

Well im only going to be using this set up for mby 6 months till I finish my new car soo I figured sealed would be easier, I could go ported to but the spot I wanna put the box is limited to about 1ft tall and 1ft depth but as wide as I need..
