Will factory HU in '01 Tahoe work in '94 Suburban?

I'm replacing the factory HU in my '01 Tahoe with a Kenwood KDC-X789. My Mom has a '94 Suburban she has had since she bought it new in '93. The thing has over 200k miles on it and still runs perfect. However, the factory HU is fried. She's not a music nut, so she doesn't care about an upgrade, but having music is nice and having a CD player to boot is even better. So, my question is, will the '01 HU work in her '94 'Burb?

The wire harness is the same, but the mounting setup is completely different. The Suburban uses the old 3-piece system; separate cassette player, control box and tuner/amp pack. The Tahoe is an all-in-one DIN 1/2 head unit. If you can find a way to mount it, it will work with the Suburban harness.

The radio out of the 01 will not go into the 1994. Neither will the radio out of the 1996. Like KaeZoo said the 1994 is made up of three pieces, and the dash is completely different.

Yeah, kinda what I figured. Plus, I was thinking last night, my factory HU has that Theftlock protection, so she'd have to have her computer reconfigured to accept it. Too much trouble... I should just send her to Best Buy or somewhere like that and pick up a $100 deck.

the dashs went from square to round in 95. 95 was the first year they were rounded.
