Will Crunch P1400.2 do rated?

NEW CRUNCH P1400.2 CAR AMP 2 CH. AMPLIFIER 1,400 WATTS - eBay (item 390159220236 end time Feb-25-10 07:47:33 PST)

I'm thinking about giving this thing a try. I'm just wondering if this thing will do 700 @ 4 ohm bridged like it is rated. The fuse is 40 X 2. It's A/B so....anybody know or have ex with these?

I highly doubt it..in my experience with crunch amps, they seem to do 75-80% of rated...but thats my opinion and I havent played around with the newest crunch products

i find stuff like this amazing that ppl will swear by MB Quart amps and Hifonics but slam Autotek and Crunch. Autotek and Crunch advertise max power which is about double actual out put so the 700x1 at 4 ohms bridged is about accurate.

well, i personally dont think that Hifonics does rated. I havent had as much experience to know about MBQ.

You really shouldn't base an amp's performance off it's fuse rating. It's obviously advertising its max output, not RMS, so that's very misleading as well. I you only want to spend about $100 on a 2channel amp, pick up a DSC2150.

Its max is 1500. Its RMS is 700. 700 RMS on 80 amp fusing is not impossible.

As listed on the eBay page:

1400 Watts x 1 ch @ 4 Ohms

700 watts x 2 ch @ 2 Ohms

350 watts x 2 ch @ 4 ohms

That's 1400 bridged into 1 channel at 4ohms, max. 700 x 2 is it's max rating into 2 channels. None of those ratings are RMS. The RMS ratings aren't even listed.

It shows max ratings as well, not RMS.

Mind showing me one that does 600-700 rms bridged? This isn't supposed to be a serious thing dude, I just want to mess around with a cheap amp a little bit. I wanna see how loud I can get one of my subs with a cheap 2 channel....

Yeah I guess. I just want a cheap 2 channel amp. I could always resell it or just use it for my 6x9s.....
